What is a CS2 case opening site?
A CS2 case opening site is a website that builds its own cases out of real CS2 skins. You load a balance with skins, cards or crypto, pick a case, and the site rolls one skin from its list. You can keep playing with the skin's value or withdraw the skin to your Steam inventory.
Most sites run a site currency. Clash.gg uses Gems and CSGO Big uses BIG Credits. Around the cases, they add case battles, an upgrader and smaller house games like Double, Mines and Crash.
CS2 case sites vs. in-game CS2 cases
In the game, you open a case with a key bought from Valve, and the skin comes from that case's collection. You can't choose the contents, and what you get is a skin from that set.
A case site works differently. The site picks which skins go into each case and sets each one's chance. That is how sites can offer cases priced anywhere from a few cents to thousands of dollars. The cost sits in the odds. Where these sites' case edges are published or reported, they are about 10%. On average, a $10 case returns $9 in skins.
The other difference is what happens next. Winnings stay on the site as balance until you withdraw them, and you can usually take the skin or crypto instead. Good sites also list every drop and its chance before you open, so you can see what you are paying for.
Game modes on CS2 case sites
Case opening
One case, one roll. Clash.gg has hundreds of cases across Official, CS2 Cases and Community tabs, up to the 40,000 Gem Tomb Raid, and each one lists its odds and has a demo mode. Chicken.gg has hundreds of cases priced from a few cents to thousands of dollars.
Case battles
Players open the same cases, and the highest total takes everything. Crazy Mode flips it so the lowest total wins. CSGO Big runs 1v1, 2v2 and four-player battles, and Chicken.gg runs free-for-all battles of up to 4 players, 2v2 and group unboxings. Battles aren't cheaper than opening alone: you pay for each case and the same house edge applies. Read how case battles work before joining one.
Upgrader and house games
An upgrader stakes a skin for a chance at a pricier one. Smaller games are often cheaper than cases. CSGO Big's cases carry a 10% house edge, while Double, Flip, Roll, Defusal, Royale and Keno sit at 2.5% to 5%. On Clash.gg, other reviewers' figures and our research put cases and battles at 10% and Double around 6.7%.
How to choose a CS2 case site
Odds and house edge
Every case should list its drops and their chances. Compare the value of the most likely drop with the case price. If you wouldn't be happy getting that item, you are paying for a lottery ticket. Our RTP guide explains how to turn an edge into a cost per hour.
Provable fairness
Look for server and client seeds, or a public EOS block for battles, so you can check each result after the round. CSGORoll seeds multiplayer games from a public EOS block and solo games with server and client seeds, and Chicken.gg results can be checked against the EOS blockchain. Here is how to verify a result.
License and ownership
Most CS2 case sites don't have a gambling license. Of the four we rank, we only confirmed Chicken.gg's, issued in Anjouan to World54 Holdings Limited. CSGO Big is run by True Polygon Entertainment Limited in Cyprus, Clash.gg by Rust Clash Entertainment Ltd, and CSGORoll by Feral Holdings. Clash.gg also received a formal ACMA warning in February 2024 and holds a 2.9 Trustpilot score.
Withdrawals
All four pay out skins through a P2P marketplace, or crypto. On a P2P marketplace, another player sends you the skin, and trades can be reversed. A good site returns your balance when that happens, as Chicken.gg did during extreme price swings. CSGO Big's crypto withdrawals usually arrive in under ten minutes, while CSGORoll's BTC, ETH and LTC withdrawals take about 15 to 60 minutes. CSGO Big may ask for KYC before larger withdrawals.
Bonuses and codes
Free cases are the usual welcome offer, but keep expectations low. The Clash.gg welcome case we opened had a 75% chance of a P90 Sand Spray worth 0.01 Gems. If you sign up without an affiliate code, Clash adds its own default code, which gives you the free case but no deposit bonus. Sign up through our link and TRUTH is applied for you.
Are CS2 case opening sites legit and safe?
Most CS2 case sites hold no gambling license, so there is no regulator behind your balance. Your protection is the site's track record and your own habits. CSGORoll has been running since 2016, and CSGO Big launched in 2015 and relaunched under new ownership in 2023. Chicken.gg launched in 2024.
Treat your balance as an IOU. Send winnings to Steam or crypto instead of spending them on more cases, and follow our skin deposit and withdrawal guide to avoid trade scams. If opening cases stops feeling like entertainment money, read the resources on our responsible gaming page.
CS2 case sites FAQ
What is the best CS2 case opening site?
CSGORoll has our highest score, at 4.8 out of 5. Chicken.gg is the only one of the four whose license we confirmed, and CSGO Big has the clearest house edge split we found between cases and other games.
Can I test a case before paying?
On Clash.gg, yes. You can open any case in demo mode. The odds stay the same, but you see what a typical result looks like.
What happened to CSGO500?
CSGO500 is now 500 Casino, a crypto casino. Its deposit menu lists cards, bank transfer and crypto, and withdrawals are crypto. Cases and battles still appear at 10% in its house edge table, but choose one of the sites above if you want to open cases with CS2 skins.
Are there case sites for real items or crypto?
Yes. Cases.gg is run by the company behind Clash.gg and has over 300 mystery boxes of physical items such as sneakers, electronics and watches, from $0.10 to nearly $15,000. It publishes a 10% edge on cases, battles and the upgrader. Flip.gg runs on Solana, with crypto prizes in its lootboxes and SOL-only withdrawals. Watch out for copycat domains such as flip-gg.online, which have been flagged as scams.

Chicken.gg applies its free cases through our link, so there is no code to enter. You get them after you deposit at least $10. CSGO Big and Clash.gg use the codes below.
